  1. Hi, It is so nice to see a Sam Merritt Trophy, the Merritt’s have lived in All Cannings for hundreds of years. We used to live in the village when I was a Kid and my Dad Phil Murray played for ACC from 1986 to 1996. I remember Sam, my brother used to call him Wobbly Old Sam! These photos are great and take me back to my childhood.
    Its so nice to see the community coming together and providing a sport for the kids to participate in. Many Villages and Towns don’t really put have a close community knit any more.

  2. Great photos…I loved the one with the horse in the background.
    It’s Wilcot village day this Sunday, the 4th so expect more cricket and a canal barge drifting along the bottom of photos of the cricket pitch!!
